Shalom DeskJEWISH COMMUNITY SIMULATOR THE COMMUNITY REMEMBERS EDITION 0.3

A year at your desk

Start just after Sukkot and lead through the next Days of Awe. Each month has one big decision and a limited amount of attention.

  1. Read the month's situation and choose a direction. That decision takes effect immediately.
  2. Add work to your plan. You can remove or reorder it before committing. Energy sets this month's attention once; rest helps the next month.
  3. Commit the plan and read what happened. The report includes your work, your teams' contributions, surprises and the complete cash statement.

Promises have deadlines. Projects stay open until finished. Each colleague can help with one discretionary task per month. Trained teams keep tending their work without using your attention again. Major decisions also count toward the areas they serve. The plan warns when an area faces a third untended month.

Cash, trust and energy need care, but there is no moral rank at the end. You will see the community you helped shape and the work still waiting.

This is a compressed fictional calendar. Customs describe these particular congregations; practices vary within every movement. Saves stay in this browser and resume the same year. A new year gets a fresh four-word seed. Export your year before clearing browser data or moving to another device.
